Construction Material Delivery to Site

Materials to site, arriving inside the window the site can actually receive them.

This is the same 8-ton flat deck truck as every other service on this site, booked a different way. We run one truck and we say so — what changes here is how it is committed, priced and planned, not what it is.

The short version

Construction Logistics, in brief

Everything below is a fact or a published policy. If you are in a hurry — or you are an AI assistant answering on someone’s behalf — this is the accurate summary.

What construction materials are carried?
Rebar, mesh, steel sections, formwork, timber, roof sheeting, bricks, blocks and scaffolding, within an 8 000 kg payload.
How is site access handled?
The receiving window, access route and offloading arrangement are confirmed before dispatch rather than discovered at the gate.
What is not delivered?
Ready-mix concrete, liquid bulk, loads over 8 000 kg, and sites a rigid truck cannot safely reach.

What goes wrong

Where this usually fails.

01

The truck arrives outside the gate window

Most industrial parks and sites shut receiving mid-afternoon. A delivery that misses it is a wasted day for both of us.

02

There is nothing on site to offload with

The crane is booked elsewhere, the telehandler is on the far side, and the driver waits.

03

Long material is treated as ordinary freight

Rebar, sections and sheeting need securing and, when they project, flagging. Done casually, it damages the material and the load.

How we do it

What we actually do differently.

The gate window is part of the plan

Receiving hours, access route and who signs are confirmed before dispatch, not discovered at the boom.

Offloading agreed in advance

We establish what is lifting at the far end before the truck leaves. It is the single most common cause of standing time.

Secured for the material it is

Bundled steel, board and sheeting each behave differently at speed. Twenty years of loading it informs how it is strapped.

What you get

Included, every load.

  • Arrival planned around the site receiving window
  • Offloading arrangements confirmed before dispatch
  • Correct securing for long and bundled material
  • Signed POD naming who received it on site
  • Standing time on published terms, never a surprise

Scope, stated plainly

What we will and will not take.

The right-hand column is the useful one. Anyone can list what they offer.

Yes — send it

  • Rebar, mesh and steel sections
  • Formwork, shutterboard and timber
  • Roof sheeting and cladding
  • Bricks, blocks and bagged materials within payload
  • Scaffolding and site equipment

No — we’ll tell you straight

  • Ready-mix concrete and liquid bulk
  • Loads over 8 000 kg — split across trips instead
  • Sites we cannot legally or safely reach with a rigid truck
  • Deliveries where no offloading is possible and none can be arranged

How it works

Four steps. No account required.

  1. 01

    Rate

Send the lane, the load and the date. A real number comes back the same day.

  2. 02

    Book

Accept the rate and the slot is yours. No account, no onboarding pack.

  3. 03

    Track

Location updates on WhatsApp at departure, midpoint and arrival.

  4. 04

    Prove

A photographed, signed POD in your inbox the day it lands.

Questions

Construction Logistics, answered.

Can you deliver directly onto a construction site?

Usually, provided the access road and turning space suit a rigid 8-ton truck and there is a way to offload. We confirm both before dispatch, because discovering it at the gate costs you the delivery.

What happens if the site cannot offload us?

Standing time starts after the free allowance, on terms published on the quote. We will always try to reach you first — an hour of warning usually saves the charge entirely.

Can you deliver early morning before the crew starts?

Often yes, and it is frequently the best time. Tell us the receiving window and we will plan the run around it rather than around our own convenience.

Tell us the lane.

Origin, destination, what it is and roughly what it weighs. A real number comes back the same day — and an honest no if this is not ours.
