What we do with your information.
Short, because we collect very little. Written in plain English because a privacy notice nobody can read protects nobody.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, company, phone number, email address and the details of the load you want moved. Nothing else. There is no analytics tracker, no advertising pixel and no third-party script on this website.
Why we hold it
To quote your load, to move it, and to contact you about it. Under POPIA this is processing necessary to conclude and perform a contract with you. If you ask us a question we keep enough to answer it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information. Ever, to anyone, for any amount.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
- We do not share your details with other transporters without telling you first.
- We do not use your data to train anything.
Who else sees it
Our email provider, because the enquiry arrives as an email. Where a load requires a partner carrier or a customs clearing agent, the details necessary to move that specific load are shared with them — and you are told before it happens, not afterwards.
How long we keep it
FOUNDER CONFIRMATION NEEDED — retention period. This figure must be the owner’s decision, not an assumption, so it is deliberately blank rather than invented. Operating records for completed loads are kept as long as tax and transport law requires.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email riverexpressm@gmail.com and we will action it. Quote data is stored separately from contact data, so deleting you as a person does not require destroying the operating record of a load that was legitimately carried.
Security
This site holds no database and stores nothing in your browser. Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our email. No payment details are ever collected on this website.
Complaints
Contact us first at riverexpressm@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
